Jay-Z will headline the Super Bowl LXI halftime show at SoFi Stadium on 14 February 2027, the NFL, Roc Nation and Apple Music announced during Monday Night Football on ESPN, the network that will carry the game.
It closes a loop that began in 2019, when Roc Nation, his company, took over production of the show. Commissioner Roger Goodell said his one request at the time was that Jay-Z perform it himself one day, when the moment felt right.
The booking caps the rapper's JAY-Z 30 year, marking three decades since his debut album Reasonable Doubt, which included three sold-out nights at Yankee Stadium and two shows at SoFi itself on 23 and 24 October.
The game is ESPN's first Super Bowl. The halftime show airs on ESPN, ABC and Disney+, with NFL+ on mobile, a Spanish-language telecast on ESPN Deportes and a separate Spanish presentation on Univision. It is the second Super Bowl at SoFi, after Super Bowl LVI in 2022.
No guests have been named. Guesswork starts with Beyonc茅, who headlined in 2013, and with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, who led the 2022 show at the same stadium and joined Jay-Z on stage there last week.
