Netflix will be the home of the 2030 men's World Cup in Spain and Andorra, the first time the streamer has bought rights to the men's tournament. The deal covers the full 104-match programme of the centenary edition, which Spain co-hosts with Portugal and Morocco, with Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay staging opening matches.

Free-to-air television keeps a share. Netflix says one match per match-day will be free to watch in Spain, and that every Spain game and the final will still be shown on free-to-air TV. Spain go into the tournament as reigning champions after winning their second men's title this year.

It extends a fast-growing live-sport slate. Netflix already holds the 2027 and 2031 women's World Cups in the United States and Canada, and has carried WWE, NFL games and boxing, with Tyson Fury against Anthony Joshua due in December.
