A year out from the first ball, the 2027 Men's Cricket World Cup has drawn more than 15 million ticket applications through its public ballot, which opened on 1 October.
The ICC counted 4,423,417 ballot registrations by Monday, covering 15,083,752 tickets, from fans in 142 countries. Demand has climbed steeply: applications stood at around one million a week earlier. The United Kingdom leads, followed by South Africa, India, the United States and Australia.
South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia co-host the 14th edition, with 12 teams across 12 venues. It opens in Cape Town with Australia against India, and India meet Pakistan in Johannesburg three days later.
ICC chief executive Sanjog Gupta credited "the allure of Africa as a destination" alongside the event's own pull, and said a year of activations and campaigns is planned before the tournament.
The ballot stays open until 23:59 CAT on 21 November at tickets.cricketworldcup.com. No tickets are bought or paid for during the ballot itself.
